OSH Granada Hills, CA, Supports Local Nonprofit

March 14, 2018, Granada Hills, CA. — When Orchard Supply Hardware (OSH) store manager, Sam Mushamel, met Chuck Iacobellis, Founder and President of Neighborly Volunteers, Inc. (NV) in the fall of 2017, he enthusiastically expressed his interest to Chuck regarding the store’s participation when Neighborly Volunteers has another event.

On Saturday, March 10, 2018, 15 volunteers ranging in age from 14 to 73, provided a variety of services to the senior citizen residents of Bermuda Mobile Home Park in Mission Hills, CA. OSH donated volunteers, supplies and replacement parts to NV, providing for those who are both physically and financially challenged.
Also, the new Menchie’s at: 10386 Sepulveda Blvd., Mission Hills, CA (at Devonshire St.) donated frozen yogurt [on site] as a pick-me-up snack for the volunteers to enjoy at then end of the event.
Neighborly Volunteers, Inc. is a federally registered 501(c)(3) California nonprofit corporation based in Granada Hills, CA. NV provides an alternative solution from contacting a licensed contractor or tradesman for taking care of those small, but necessary tasks inside and out that may be too difficult for many of us; hard to reach light bulb change outs, battery replacements in smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and sometimes installation of these, loose kitchen cabinet doors and drawers, and trimming of bushes or picking fruit. “We come along side of our neighbors, and love nothing better then to put smiles on their faces”, said Chuck Iacobellis, founder of the organization in March of 2017.
Chuck developed this neighborhood organization to stand for something bigger than themselves. NV brings together people with some skills and the willingness to help their neighbors here in the San Fernando Valley. NV is limited to what repairs/tasks/chores they are able to perform, however, they do have some great relationships with local, licensed professionals who are willing to help in those cases that are beyond their capabilities.
