Prepare to Be Irish
St. Patrick's Day is here. McG's Irish Pub and Grill has a game plan for you.
They say that everyone gets to be Irish on St. Patrick's Day, a holiday that started out to honor the man who introduced Christianity to Ireland in the 5th century.
To some that means eating corned beef and cabbage or guzzling green drinks. To others it means looking for shamrocks and that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
Here in Chatsworth, one local pub has its own idea. McG's Irish Pub and Grill, 21356 Devonshire Street at Canoga Avenue, will be celebrating with food specials, a DJ, and beer. Lots of beer.

Green beer. Irish beer. Forty-five beers on tap total.
Normally open from 11:30 a.m. until 2 a.m., the five-year-old establishment will kick things off early in honor of Ol' St. Pat. Doors open at 9 a.m. on March 17.

Different places across the country celebrate the holiday in different ways. Some have parades. Some dye their river green. Others have taken things to a greater extreme -- there are nine towns in the United States named after Ireland's capital, Dublin. (The largest of these places, it's worth noting, is Dublin, Calif., according to the U.S. Census Bureau)
Here in Chatsworth, though, it's up to you to find your own way. In this video, McG's manager Adrian Campos talks about everything that will be going on for the holiday at this local establishment.
As you consider your options and look for your best green T-shirt, go ahead and kiss someone. On St. Patrick's Day, everyone's Irish.
