Prowler Snuck Into Valley Homes And Sexually Assaulted Women: LAPD

Police released a photo of a man accused of attacking several women because they suspect he may have additional victims.

RESEDA, CA — A prowler snuck into multiple homes in the San Fernando Valley in the early morning hours one day this month and sexually assaulted women, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Monday.

A suspect is in custody, and detectives released his photo Monday because they believe he may have additional victims, who did not report the attacks.

Mario Orozco, 31, was booked on suspicion of sexual assault, after he allegedly "entered several residences" around 4 a.m. July 1 in the 18300 block of Vanowen Street in Reseda, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"Orozco sexually assaulted the victims and fled the location on foot in an unknown direction," the LAPD said in a written release.

"Los Angeles Police Department West Valley Division (detectives) conducted the investigation and were able to identify, locate and arrest Orozco for these crimes," police said.

Authorities released few details about the attacks. They did not say how he entered the homes nor how police found and arrested him.

"Detectives from West Valley Area are overseeing the investigation and (are) releasing the suspect's booking photo because they believe the suspect is responsible for additional, unreported sexual assaults," police said.
