Robbers Shoot Security Guard With Marbles In San Fernando Valley

Police are looking for four armed robbers, who reportedly turned paintball guns into dangerous weapons and fired on ATM security guard.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are looking for armed suspects who shot a private security guard with paintball guns loaded with marbles in North Hollywood Monday night.

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the private ATM security guard said he was sitting in his vehicle when four suspects pulled up in a gray four-door sedan and demanded money before shooting at him.

The guard was wearing a bulletproof vest, but he was still injured, suffering glass shard cuts to his neck, according to police. Broadcast footage from the scene shows several apparent bullet holes in the window of his vehicle.

The guard drove to a nearby gas station at the intersection of Whitsett Avenue and Sherman Way at about 10:30 p.m. Monday to report the shooting.

The LAPD investigators found marbles inside his victim’s vehicle, KTLA reported.
