Shooting In Valley Leads To Chase, Suspect At Large

A police chase followed a shooting in the San Fernando Valley Tuesday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A possible car-to-car shooting in Reseda led to a brief police pursuit that ended Tuesday with one suspect in custody and another still at large.

Officers responded to a call regarding shots fire in the area of Corbin Avenue and Valerio Street in Reseda, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities said one shooting victim transported themselves to a local hospital, KTLA reported.

A white sedan riddled with bullet holes was visible at the scene.

The chase began just after 5 a.m. near Vanowen Street and Tampa Avenue near Vanowen Street and Tampa Avenue, KTLA reported.

The chase ended in the 19200 block of Calvert Street in Tarzana. The suspects abandoned their vehicle and fled on foot, police said.

Police established a perimeter in the neighborhood, and by about 9:20 a.m., one suspect had been taken into custody while a second remained outstanding, an LAPD officer said.

A detailed description of the male suspect being sought was not immediately available.
