SigAlert: Firefighters Put Out Porter Ranch Brush Fire
Two small brush fires caused lane closures on the State Route 118 Thursday afternoon.

NORTHRIDGE-CHATSWORTH, CA — Two small brush fires on either side of the State Route 118 (Ronald Reagan Freeway) at Tampa Avenue caused California Highway Patrol to close the slow lane and Tampa Avenue offramp for 30 minutes, according to CHP.
The Los Angeles Fire Department put out the small fires within 46 minutes of them starting, according to LAFD. No injuries were reported and there was no structure damage.
CHP closed the lanes at 2:49 p.m., at which point they were expected to open them back up at 3:20 p.m.
