Two separate crashes tied up traffic for miles in northwest Los Angeles heading into the afternoon rush hour.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Highway Patrol issued two SigAlerts for the northeast Los Angeles area as a pair of crashes tied up the Ronald Reagan (118) and Foothill (210) freeways heading into the afternoon rush hour.

Shortly before 5 p.m., the CHP issued a SigAlert for the eastbound lanes of the 118 Freeway that was expected to last about 45 minutes, said CHP Officer Delos Reyes. A vehicle rolled over in a solo crash, shutting down the 3, 4, 5, and 6 lanes just east of the Golden State (5) Freeway, said Reyes.

Shortly before that, just after 4 p.m., the CHP issued a SigAlert for the westbound 210 Freeway near La Tuna Canyon Road in the Tujunga area due to a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle, said Reyes. The SigAlert was expected to last about 2 and a half hours.
