Southland Gasoline Prices Rise Sharply

This is the largest increase since February.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County Friday recorded its largest daily increase since Feb. 25, rising 4.3 cents to $4.276.

The sharp increase stems from record low gasoline inventories and
continued refinery issues, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club
of Southern California.

The average price is 6.2 cents more than one week ago and a half-cent higher than one year ago, but is unchanged from one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
