Standoff At Northridge Dispensary Causes Roscoe Boulevard Delays

Three burglary suspects believed to be hiding in a Northridge marijuana dispensary were surrounded by an LAPD SWAT Team.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A Los Angeles Police Department SWAT Team Thursday morning surrounded a marijuana dispensary in the Northridge, where three burglary suspects were believed to be holed up. Eventually, the SWAT team entered the building after several hours and determined that the suspects were gone, police said.

The standoff began at about 2 a.m. and continued until 10 a.m. with the surrounding area closed off. The hours-long standoff at the 16900 block of Roscoe Boulevard, triggered traffic delays as the morning rush hour kicked off.

Traffic was routed away from the area, and the incident was continuing after daybreak.
