Suspect In Northridge Attack Arrested Following 5-Hour Standoff
Police say a man attacked a family on a street in Northridge before holing up inside a nearby home.
NORTHRIDGE, CA — A Man suspected of attacking a family on a residential street in Northridge is in custody this morning following a five-hour standoff with a Los Angeles Police Department Swat Team.
The attack occurred just after 5 p.m. Monday evening in the 19100 block of Salt Lake Place, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The victims — a mother father and sister — were hospitalized in unknown condition, CBS reported. Police didn't immediately release details about the attack.

Authorities believe the suspect may be suffering from mental health issues.
After the attack, the man barricaded himself in a nearby residence, eventually surrendering to police shortly after 10 p.m.
