SWAT Team Surrounds Gunman In Northridge

A man fired at least one shot and barricaded himself in a home near Roscoe Boulevard overnight.

NORTHRIDGE, CA — A SWAT Team surrounded a home in Northridge where an armed man was holed up after firing at least one shot overnight.

The standoff began Tuesday night and continued through Wednesday morning as officers attempted to persuade the man to surrender.

It started at about 10:35 p.m. Tuesday when police were called to a home near the intersection of Roscoe Boulevard and Wilbur Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. According to police, the man is believed to have fired a shot before police arrived.
