Thieves Beat Woman And Steal Her Dog Inside San Fernando Valley Store

Brazen thieves followed a woman into a convenience store, violently attacked her and made off with her 11-year-old dog, police said.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Woman was attacked inside a San Fernando Valley store by a man and woman, who beat her and stole her dog, the Los Angeles Police Department announced Wednesday.

Detectives released images of the attackers — a man and a woman — in hopes that someone who recognized them will come forward.

The attack happened inside a North Hollywood convenience store in the 11100 block of Burbank Boulevard at about 12:45 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

"A victim entered the business with her dog on a leash," police said in a written statement. "Shortly after, two suspects entered the business and, seemingly unprovoked, attacked the victim and used bodily force to remove the dog from her possession."

The suspects are described as a woman wearing all black clothing with black shoes, and a man wearing a black and white sweater, blue jeans, and black shoes.
