Valley Medical Office Rape Prompts Police To Search For More Victims: LAPD

The man was arrested on suspicion of raping a woman during medical treatment, according to police.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police in the San Fernando Valley this week circulated a photo of a man suspected of raping a woman at a medical facility as part of an effort to identify possible additional victims.

On Jan. 15, a 23-year-old woman reported to police that she had been sexually assaulted while receiving medical treatment. Authorities identified the suspect as Julius Czar Francisco, 33, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The following day, officers located and arrested Francisco at a location on Osborne Street in Pacoima, near the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard, according to police.

He was booked on charges of rape by force and is out on bond, police said.

"Due to the nature of the assault, detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s Topanga Division Sexual Assault Unit believe there are unreported victims of Francisco," police said.

Authorities did not name the medical facility at which Francisco is suspected of committing the assault, nor did they reveal whether he worked at the facility or his profession.
