Video Shows Fatal Valley Hit-and-Run

Police hope someone might recognize the driver of a blue minivan that struck and killed a man on Sherman Way Monday morning.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Police are asking for help finding a hit-and-run driver who killed a man in the San Fernando Valley this week.

The Los Angeles Police Department released video of the fatal crash that killed a man crossing the street on Sherman Way Monday morning. According to detectives, a small light blue SUV struck the man at about 1 a.m. The driver pulled into a nearby shopping center parking lot then fled westbound without stopping to help the injured man, police said.

Detectives believe the driver a white minivan who also pulled into the shopping center may have witnessed the fatal crash. They are asking that driver to come forward.

According to police, the unidentified pedestrian was an Asian man 35 to 40 years old. He may have been experiencing homelessness.

Los Angeles offers a reward of up to $50,000 for information leading to the arrest of fatal hit-and-run drivers.
