Woman Found Stabbed To Death In Her Valley Home

Police suspect the West Hills victim knew her killer.

WEST HILLS, CA - A 50 year-old woman was found stabbed to death in her home in West Hills, and detectives believe the victim and her assailant knew each other, police said today.

The woman was found in a home in the 7100 block of Shadow Ridge Court between 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Tuesday, said Sgt. Greg Houser, the watch commander at the Los Angeles Police Department's Topanga Division. Her name was not immediately released.

"We got the call about an injured woman and responding officers found the victim had suffered multiple stab wounds,'' Houser said. "Paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene.''
