Step back in time to the California of the 1940’s with our
inaugural Pop-Up Gallery, a FREE
event on A Street in downtown San Rafael! From war, peace, and prosperity, to
fashion and Hollywood’s Golden Age, the paintings will be a unique visual
history of the decade, complemented by music of the era.
This captivating Pop-Up Gallery brings the audience and artists closer than
ever, with a Twilight Meet & Greet Saturday evening. Visitors may sip a
glass of wine during the early twilight hours while sharing a conversation with
the Madonnari, and viewing their artwork. As Paul Cezanne says "The
most seductive thing about art is the personality of the artist himself."
Information about the inspiration behind each painting will also be displayed
next to each masterpiece.
Plus - children 2-12 will delight in taking part in a special street painting
activity!
