A Chance For Novato Residents to Get Ready For Disaster
On February 4 the City of Novato is offering a free, two hour disaster preparedness class to learn how to be ready before disaster strikes.
The City of Novato is encouraging citizens to attend a free two-hour disaster preparedness class on February 4 that will explain how to help prepare for the first few days after a disaster.
The popular Get Ready disaster preparedness program has been taught in Marin for several years and serves as a good way for those attending to learn disaster preparedness. The curriculum will address personal and family preparedness at and away from home.
Those attending will learn how to design a family evacuation plan and what to include in a disaster kit in order to prepare for the first 72 hours to week after a disaster.

The “Get Ready” community disaster preparedness course will be from 7 to 9 pm on February 4 at All Saints Lutheran Church, 2 San Marin Drive, Novato.
Those interested in taking the class need to register in advance by calling 415-897-4361 between 8am to 5pm on Monday through Friday.
