Police say the incident at DeLong Avenue at Redwood Boulard in Novato does not pose a threat to public safety.
A gas leak that's snarled traffic in Novato this afternoon does not pose a public safety risk, police said.
The Novato Police Department and Novato Fire Protection District are working to repair the leak on DeLong Avenue and Redwood Boulevard, a police statement said.
Motorists are urged to avoid this era until further notice.
