Agathe Bennich's work has been shown extensively
nationally and internationally. Born in Sweden, Bennich (1939–2012) lived in
France, Austria, Italy and Mexico before settling in San Francisco. She
attended San Francisco Art Institute where she earned a bachelor’s degree and a
master’s degree in fine arts. Her investigation into painting began while
living in Italy in the early ’60s.
