Major Retail Chain To Close Novato Store Amid Bankruptcy (patch.com) ā A Leslie's pool supply store in Novato is slated to close as the company restructures in bankruptcy and shutters eight Bay Area locations. While no closing date is listed yet, Novato customers are told gift cards and loyalty rewards will still be honored as remaining stores and online operations continue during the process.

Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett announces three-stop December Christmas run (themusicuniverse.com) ā Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett is bringing a solo show to Novato on December 16 at HopMonk Tavern as part of a three-stop California holiday run. If you're looking for live music close to home, this is a rare chance to see his country-tinged rock set in an intimate local venue before he records his next album.

Two Pacific Private Money executives pleaded guilty to fraud at a lender that raised about $106.7 million and agreed to at least $71,790,425 in restitution (newsbreak.com) ā A major fraud case involving Novato-based Pacific Private Money has led its founder and COO, including Novato resident Nam Phan, to plead guilty and agree to at least $71.8 million in restitution.
