Judy Arnold apparently has discovered she is in a race that she may very well lose. Despite her massive campaign expenditures financed primarily by special interests outside her District 5 she has turned to the below the belt tactics she learned serving as an aide to Burton, Giacomini and Midgen.
She has publically twice accused Shroyer of being a “liar”. She fought Toni Shroyer listing herself as a businesswoman on the candidate statement. How petty!
Now we have the latest below the belt personal assault. Arnold has taken offense over a photo posted on Shroyer’s Facebook page. Incredibly, she is offended by the letters “old” in the background. Really Judy, is this all you have to offer?

Arnold then accuses Shroyer of running a nasty campaign and inferring that Arnold is too old to be a Supervisor. Arnold takes “offence” at the appearance of the three letters and accuses Shroyer of “attempting to make an issue of age” in the campaign. This is pretty rich as Judy is the one making it an issue by unjustly accusing Shroyer of ageism and sending targeted flyers to senior voters culled from the registered voter rolls.
As a person who is almost there myself life becomes a little different when you become three-quarters of a century old as is Arnold. Does it make any significant difference in one’s ability to function in office, of course not. But, for Arnold to engage in age mongering against a younger more dynamic opponent is sleazy politics.
Perhaps Judy Arnold has issues with her age that some time away from her present day job would help her sort out.
