Biking Between Novato, Petaluma Just Got a Lot Easier

Bicyclists headed between Novato and Petaluma can now do so without battling freeway traffic, it was reported recently.

The Press Democrat reports that a one-mile stretch of bike path opened Friday “...in northern Marin County that bridges a key gap between new frontage roads constructed in the Sonoma-Marin Narrows corridor along Highway 101.”

“We’re very happy,” Tom Boss, events director with the Marin County Bicycle Coalition, told the news organization. “Before, you’d have to ride your bike on 101 or go miles out of your way to get between Petaluma and Novato. Now you have a more direct route.”
