Next CERT class is at College of Marin over three sessions, starting Thursday evening, Nov. 7th 6:00PM -9:00 pm and continuing over two Saturdays, Nov. 9th and 16th, 8:30 am-4:00 pm. Students must attend all three sessions in order to CERT trained and a Disaster Service Worker.
Have you ever wondered if you would be able to put out a fire using a fire extinguisher? Or know how to splint a broken arm? Have you ever wondered how that regular guy actually lifted a refridgerator off an injured person? Join us in the next CERT class and learn about suppressing small fires, first aid, cribbing, light search & rescue and working together as a team in an emergency.
CERT is a national program under FEMA, enabling trained CERTs to assist in the public safety response following a major emergency/disaster.
