Five new police officers and a captain have joined Novato’s police department, a significant move at a time when most city departments have seen reductions.
The hires will be welcomed at Tuesday’s City Council meeting. Also on Tuesday, Captain Dave Jeffries will be honored with a proclamation for more than 30 years of service. Jeffries is retiring this year.
Tuesday’s meeting starts at 6:30pm.
