This quick and easy quilt works well with all kinds of fabrics. For a wall hanging, you will need about 2 yards of various fabrics for the front. For a larger quilt, collect 3 - 4 yards. You can even include scraps or left over strips and squares

you have in your stash. There are several approaches to guide your collecting:

1. pick a multicolored feature fabric and collect other fabrics of various print

scales that have those colors or

2. or pick one or two colors and collect various shades and print scales of those colors or

3.pick two main fabrics with similar colors but
different effects due to scale or intensity that you like together, then
add other fabrics that look well with these two main ones.

 

You will also
need to bring a rotary cutter, ruler and cutting board, a spool of
neutral colored thread, plus 2 bobbins wound with this thread, pins,
scissors, a sewing machine, and any other tools that help you play!
