Family Night at Stafford, Oktoberfest and More This Weekend

On Friday, come down to Stafford Lake for Family Fun Night. Enjoy a family movie (Wreck It Ralph), popcorn, bounce house for the kids starting 5:30pm. Picnics and BBQ encouraged. Movie begins 15 minutes after sunset. No animals (except service animals) are allowed at this park. Rain cancels. Park entrance is $10.

On Saturday, take your children on a nature walk with a Marin County Parks ranger and learn about the seasons and animal life. Where do the insects, spiders, and lizards go in the winter? When will the salamanders come out of hiding? Followed by a tour of the Indian Valley Organic Farm and Garden. 10am-2pm. Free.

Later that day, the Novato Sunrise Rotary Club hosts the Second Annual Oktoberfest. Traditional food, dancing to Tony Raymann and his Edelweiss OOMPAH band, prizes and a silent auction. Discounted tickets available. At Nativity of Christ Orthodox Church.

On Sunday, stop by the Novato Arts Center in Hamilton to check out what their artists in residents are working on during their monthly Open Studios event. Ask questions and talk to the artists about their work. Free.
