Craig Corona: Bio http://www.craigcorona.com/
Born and raised on Long Island during a period when most
kids were listening to glamour rock it's hard to believe that Craig
could have been pushed in the direction to perform Bluegrass and Country
music. He taught himself to play on his father's cheap, old, nylon
string classical (which he still has). It was when he was forced to join
the school choir by his best friend that he was set on the course to
performing. Campfire type sing alongs taught him a lot of the old folk
tunes that he still holds among his influences. Playing these songs
also taught him the value of sharing music. During the "Urban Cowboy"
period when everyone wanted to ride a mechanical bull, Craig's parents
owned a small country bar that boasted live music on weekends. Hanging
out and watching the performers he was inspired and became more familiar
with the trade. Finally, one night, Tom Russel and Andrew Hardin
convinced his parents to let him get up and play a few songs with them.
The bug bit hard!
With influences from Hank Williams to John Denver to Crosby
Stills and Nash, Craig began writing and performing folk music with a
country flavor. In 1989, when he graduated college, he had had enough
of New York and relocated to Boulder, Colorado. The diverse music scene
in Boulder caught his attention immediately and Bluegrass became a new
area to explore. In 1997, Craig released his first full length CD,
Sawmill Town, featuring all original music. His early influences of
folk, country and bluegrass were married and produced smooth vocals and
harmonies . Currently he performs as a solo singer/songwriter and
does a number of cover tune shows where he performs country, pop &
rock tunes from the 60's, 70's, 80's and more, Though not fully touring
he has played across the western United States.

2012 brought the release of his new album, About Time. Drawing
from life in the mid-west, emotional inspiration and history a picture
is painted crossing the lines of folk, country, bluegrass and acoustic
rock. The album invokes feelings and thoughts about life, hardship,
belief and accomplishment.
