Marin County Sheriff's Office Debuts New Warrant Database Search
The sheriff's department announced Wednesday a new feature for the public.
Curious internet users can now look up most arrest warrants issued by the Marin County Superior Court, sheriff's officials announced Wednesday.
"This on-line database is provided as a courtesy service to the public," Sheriff's Lt. Jamie Scardina said in a news release. "The database is updated continuously; however, recent changes in the status of the warrants may not be reflected in this online database. It is incumbent upon individuals and agencies to verify information that may or may not be included in this system."
Here's how it works: Once on the sheriff's homepage, go to the warrant search found in the “find it fast” drop down menu at the top. A new page will open, and you will then be able to search for Marin County warrants by first and last name.
If you happen to find your own name in the database, Scardina recommends you contact the court by phone at (415) 444-7070 or in person.
