Come explore a myriad of techniques used to dye all kinds of fabrics. Whether you are a beginner or more experienced, this one-day class has something for everyone.
The class will cover dying for both natural and synthetic fabrics. Unique and quick ways to dye silk will be covered as well as an indigo-dying demonstration.
Students will come away with an understanding of how to dye both natural and synthetic fibers. Students will also finish the class with several completed fabric pieces they can wear or use for other art projects. All class materials and supplies will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring small samples of fabric they would like to experiment with, as well as a note pad and pencil for taking personal notes.Fee: MarinMOCA Members $125; Non-members: $140
