Marin's first Human Trafficking Pre-Conference Feb 21 1-5pm $10 An educational event to learn about the issues of human trafficking in the bay area and more specifically the growing problem in Marin and what we can do to protect our vulnerable and end it in our communities. Speakers: California Against Slavery, The Bay Area Anti-trafficking Coalition, H.E.A.T Watch/Alameda DA's office, Because Justice Matters, Love Never Fails and more.
The Justice Conference Marin Feb 21st 6-9pm/Feb 22nd 8:30am-9pm $34 Focus on justice-related issues such as human trafficking, slavery, poverty, education inequality, HIV/AIDS and human rights.
As one of the largest international gatherings on social and biblical justice, more than 10,000 participants will gather at the main conference in Los Angeles, and at simulcast partner sites in San Rafael and across the country with the desire to bring more voices into the conversation in order to empower people to pursue justice and affect change on behalf of the vulnerable. This fourth annual conference is a movement to educate, inspire and connect a generation of men and women around a shared concern for the vulnerable and oppressed.
Speakers: Bernice King- The King Center (Dr Martin Luther King Jr.'s daughter), Donald Miller, Storyline, Brian Stevenson- Equal Justice Initiatives, Justin Dillon-Made In A Free World, Nicole Baker Fulgham-Expectations Project, Stephan Bauman-World Relief and many more.
This event is open to the public. The Pre-conference is from 1-5pm on Friday and costs $10. Tickets may be purchased at the link below and at the door.
After a break for dinner, the main conference simulcast will begin at 6 pm that evening. The main conference will continue on Saturday, February 22, from 8:30 am and conclude at 9:00 pm with breaks for lunch and dinner. Tickets for the main conference ($34) may be purchased by following the link below and at the door. Meals will be available for purchase.
The Human Trafficking Pre-conference and The Justice Conference Marin will be held at Marin Covenant Church, 195 North Redwood Drive in San Rafael.
