On my Mind
This past weekend I was troubled to hear about a teenage party involving alcohol that grew out of control in which several young people were spotted fleeing the house as police arrived close to midnight on Saturday. The most disturbing detail was that of a 15 year old girl who was extremely intoxicated and was spotted “stumbling“ down Center Road. Fortunately, the police spotted her and were able to return her safely to her parents. The evening also ended with a Social Host Ordinance citation for the adult Novato resident who was at the home where the party took place. Marin IJ Article

Around this time of year just 9 years ago our community was shaken after a house party involving underage drinking led to a devastating accident that claimed two teen’s lives. What can be done?
