Tomorrow, the City Council will contemplate slightly over $1MM ($1,002,002 by quick math) in additional budget for the new City Hall. The changes are for signage ($60k); additional architecture ($113,785); revised contingencies-not included in original budget ($800k); and a lease extension at Rowland ($28,217); since the building may not be done on time. The above totals exclude $440k in new furniture/workstations which are apparently in the soft budget costs. Given the building is expected to be done in 60 days, this is quite shocking, and follows immediately after Jason Nutt left for Sonoma.
