New Editor Takes Over Helm at Novato Patch

Novato Patch is your site and welcomes your posts, events and story ideas.

Hello Novato!

My name is Karina Ioffee (rhymes with "coffee") and I’m the new editor of Novato Patch. For the past three years, I've been the editor of Petaluma Patch. Now I’m excited to dive into reporting about Novato and look forward to meeting you soon, either at a council meeting, during a community event or around town.

Prior to Patch, I was a New York City correspondent for Reuters, the financial news service, and a business correspondent for New York Daily News. I also have a master's degree in journalism from City University of New York.

I’m a Bay Area native and graduated from UC Santa Cruz (Go Slugs!). I got my start at regional California newspapers like the East Bay Express and the Stockton Record.

Previous Novato Patch Editor Brent Ainsworth did an amazing job launching the site and engaging the community, and I hope to build upon that work, as well as that of editors who have helped with the site since he left.

But to make Novato Patch great, I need your help.

And I want to remind you that this is YOUR site – don't just wait for me to tell you what's happening in town – dive in by posting an eventan announcement or a blog anytime.
