North Bay Science Festival!

Awesome FREE science festival designed to get kids excited about future careers in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).  Over 80 exhibitors will have fun hands-on activities.  Examples include dissecting a four-foot Humboldt squid, shooting rockets, watching the explosion of soda and Mentos candies, talking to scientists, seeing a Huey helicopter close up, looking at sun spots, burning wood with the sun, and eating instant ice cream made with liquid nitrogen.  Fun, fun, fun!  Thanks to the generous sponsors -- Agilent Technologies, Kaiser, BioMarin, and the Buck Center (and more) -- the whole thing is free!  Even parking!
