Sonoma 3
In the first game of the 15 year-old District 2 Babe Ruth All Star tournament, Novato defeated Sonoma 17-3 behind the pitching of Marcus Brown and Jordan Polera. Novato struck for 9 runs in the first inning and were led by Scott Sheron and Nick Corbani, who had three hits each. Patrick Butler, Hunter Wegner and RJ Balderama had two hits apiece and Drew Treppa added two hits including a triple off the outfield wall. Novato’s infielders, Butler, Wegner, Balderama, Ricky Clary, Dominic Borgo and Brandon DeBarros made several excellent plays on defense throughout the game.

Following a 10-5 loss to Ukiah, Novato defeated Sonoma 12-2 in the losers’ bracket of the 15 year-old District 2 Babe Ruth All Star tournament. Novato was paced by excellent starting pitching from Scott Sheron, who tossed 5 innings of two-hit ball for Novato, while striking out six. Marcus Brown blasted a three-run double in the fifth inning to put Novato ahead 8-2. Sheron helped his own cause with two doubles and three RBIs while Nick Corbani added two hits and two RBIs.

Ukiah 3
In the championship round of the 15 year-old District 2 Babe Ruth All Star tournament, Novato defeated Ukiah 11-3 to force a deciding game later in the day. Marcus Brown pitched a complete game two-hitter and was supported by fine defensive efforts from RJ Balderama, Brandon DeBarros and Lucas Kehs. Drew Treppa and Adrian Gonzalez each had two hits and two RBIs, Scott Sheron added two hits and three runs scored and RJ Balderama and Patrick Butler each had two hits for Novato. DeBarros also contributed a hit, two walks and two runs scored.

Ukiah 4
In the deciding game of the 15 year-old District 2 Babe Ruth All Star tournament, Novato defeated Ukiah 11-4 to capture their third straight District Title. Drew Treppa came in for Novato in the third inning and pitched one-hit, no run ball over the final five innings to pick up the win. Treppa contributed two hits and two RBIs to help his own cause. The offense, which pounded out twelve hits was led by Scott Sheron who went 4-5 with 5 RBIs. In the five games played in the tournament, Novato scored a total of 56 runs on 58 hits.
