Novato Man Nabs Top Prize at Race
Dominic Vogl does 5-miles in 29 minutes...or less than 6 minutes per mile!

Novato resident Dominic Vogl walked away with the top prize at the Marin 415 Mile race that drew more than 250 runners and blocked a part of downtown San Rafael on Sunday.
The event featured a five-mile race for all ages followed by a series of one-mile heats.
Vogl, 27, completed the five-mile course in 29 minutes. Katie Fitzpatrick, 20 of Larkspur finished first in the women's category in 33 minutes.

Race director J.T. Service called the inaugural race “almost a flawless day, just beautiful.” Service puts on running events across the bay with the company Represent Running and said he was glad to be back in Marin.
“I love seeing people running in downtown San Rafael,” he said.

Winners in other age divisions include:
Eileen Brennan-Erler, 52, San Rafael, who finished first in the women's senior 50 and over category
Kevin Ostenberg, 52, Newcastle, Calif, who finished first in the men's senior 50 and over category.
Sasha Blum, 40, Walnut Creek, won the Master Women's 40-49 category
Jim Sorensen, 46, San Leandro finished first in the Master Men’s 40-49.
