Novato Police Ready for July 4 Fireworks Enforcement

The Novato Police Department has joined public safety agencies throughout Marin County in reminding the public to celebrate July 4 responsibly.

All fireworks are illegal in Marin County.

Leaving fireworks displays to trained professionals at approved locations such as fairs and designated events allows for police resources to be focused on responding to priority calls for service, Novato Police Chief Jim Berg said.

“We encourage our citizens to be safe and responsible while celebrating on July 4,” Berg said.

“Our officers will be enforcing all applicable laws and municipal codes in order to provide a safe and secure environment for everyone.”
