This event will raise funds for needed technology equipment. Through its educational programs, which align with the 21st Century Skills Curriculum implemented throughout Novato Unified School District, the Center’s mission is to prepare and inspire youth to succeed.

Currently, the Center is the primary source of computer, printer and internet access to over half of the 150 students who attend after- school daily, and all day during the summer months.  A technology update is needed to support their academic efforts, and the youth and teachers are putting on their dancing shoes to make this happen.

Community members are asked to make a flat pledge at http://www.scholasticchallenge.com/home/novatoyouth by midnight, May 11th to support these youth who are not only dancing for new technology, but for their futures.  The event will run from 2:30 to 6:00pm, and pledges will be accepted up until Midnight of May 11th.

The Novato Youth Center is a private non-profit organization, serving over 3,400 youth and their families annually since 1976.  It works to ensure youth are successful in school, home and life through 5 Core Program Areas:  Child Development; Youth and Family Counseling; Athletic Leagues; Adolescent Health & Welllness and Community-Based Prevention.
