Red Flag Warning Extended To Friday
Thursday's Red Flag Warning has been extended into Friday. Novato's Mount Burdell Open Space is included in this extreme fire warning alert.
Red Flag Warning
The Red Flag Warning issued by the National Weather Service for the Bay Area has been extended from Thursday into Friday at 1 pm.
With low humidity, dry brush and sustained winds between 10 to miles per hour there will be gusts of up to 30 miles per hour, the risk of fire remains high.
Even though the warning applies to mountains at the 1,000 foot level, those living at lower elevations and those in the Mount Burdell Open Space should use extreme caution as anything that can cause a spark will cause rapid fire growth.
