Roll into Summer with the girl & the fig

Roll into summer with Chef Sondra Bernstein of the girl & the fig, the iconic Sonoma restaurant famed for its Provençal-inspired rustic food, when she makes a second appearance at Fresh Starts Chef Events.

The chef, who opened the girl & the fig in 1997, has written two cookbooks and drawn acclaim from Bon Appetit, Wine Spectator and the Michelin Guide.
Her menu:

  • Chilled Asparagus Soup with Chervil and Créme Fraiche
  • Braised Pork Shoulder with Spring Onion Ragout
  • Lavender Crème Brulée
Along with the girl & the fig, Chef Sondra and partner/executive chef John Toulze operate the fig cafe & winebar in Glen Ellen as well as FIGfood, a line of gourmet products.

Tickets are $55, including dinner; all proceeds support shelter and job-training programs at Homeward Bound of Marin.
