The St. Petersburg Men’s Ensemble is an a cappella quartet founded in 2003. This talented group expands the limits of generally accepted perceptions about singing groups and choir performances. The group’s repertoire encompasses various periods and styles from ancient Russian chants and chorales of Western & Eastern European masters, to modern contemporary musical techniques. Their repertoire of Russian traditional religious and folk music is as engaging and varied as their sincere, warm, humorous and talented personalities. The quartet includes tenors Andre Volikov and Vadim Smantser, and baritone-bass Kirill Sokolov and Sergey Shapinskiy. Members of the Ensemble have attended the Glinka Choir School and the St. Petersburg Conservatory. They have sung with many choirs and vocal groups including the State Academic Capella and the Choir of Smolny Cathedral.
Cost: Admission is free. Suggested donation $12 to $20
