The String Rays, a Petaluma-based, original Americana band bring their inspired fiddle and slide guitar infused songs to HopMonk Tavern on Saturday March 8th. With four years of playing fairs, festivals, beer gardens and indie haunts under their belts, The String Rays will be showcasing songs from their new CD Resonate which has received critical praise from Marin IJ’s Paul Liberatore, “an album of finely wrought American roots music…reflecting skilled songcraft and accomplished musicianship,” and also from KRUSH DJ Bill Bowker, “a record with truly original arrangements put to very well written originals.” Come hear why folks say, “the sting is in the string.”For friends of song and songwriting, check out The String Rays website including "Tune-in Tuesdays: A Blog by Songwriter Dave Monterey"
