Trust Act Requires Potentially Dangerous Apprehensions in our Community. Another unintended impact of the "Trust" Act is that when the County is forced to dishonor ICE detainers on an individual who is of ICE interest, due to prior deportation, order of removal, and/or violent or criminal history, that person will then become an ICE fugitive and/or subject to arrest in the community at large, at their home or business, anywhere. This increases the unpredictability of violence or danger to innocent life if /when the wanted alien attempts to flee, perhaps in a vehicle, or tries to shoot it out, the chance for harm to innocent life will go up exponentially. When simply transferred to ICE in the county jail, it is a controlled environment free of weapons and innocent bystanders. Just one more fact to keep in mind when you decide to urge your representatives to repeal this foolish socially suicidal llaw.
