Vehicle Hits Pedestrian in Novato, Serious Injuries Reported
Police say the victim was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
Novato police say a person has been hospitalized Thursday after they were hit by a vehicle in town.
According to a police statement, the incident happened at 8:48 a.m., near the intersection of Laurelwood Drive and Ignacio Boulevard.
“Further investigation revealed the vehicle was traveling S/B on Laurelwood Dr and collided into a pedestrian who was walking W/B across Laurelwood Dr., from the north sidewalk of Ignacio Blvd,” police said.

The man behind the wheel immediately pulled over, and is cooperating with authorities.
The pedestrian, who was not identified, was transported to the hospital with injuries described as severe, police said.

Police added that they don’t believe alcohol or drugs to be a factor for either party involved in the incident.
