1 Dead, 2 Injured In Fatal Oceanside Stabbing

OCEANSIDE, CA – A teenager died a day after he and two others were stabbed near the San Luis Rey River east of the Oceanside Harbor, prompting police on Monday to release a composite sketch of a man wanted for questioning in connection with the case.
The attack on the trio – two 17-year-old boys and an 18-year-old man – was reported about 1:20 a.m. Saturday in the 400 block of San Luis Rey Drive, according to the Oceanside Police Department.
One of the 17-year-olds was pronounced dead at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at Scripps Memorial Hospital in La Jolla, said Oceanside police spokesman Tom Bussey. The teen's companions were treated for minor injuries at a hospital. Their names have not been released.

The "person of interest" was described as a white man in his mid-20s, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 160 pounds. He has curly, dark blond hair. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and green or brown cargo pants.
Police declined to reveal the nature of the unidentified man's suspected involvement in the case.
