26 Drivers Cited At DUI Checkpoint In Oceanside

A total of 1,347 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, police said.

OCEANSIDE, CA — More than two dozen drivers were cited during a DUI checkpoint last week in Oceanside, authorities said Wednesday.

One driver was cited for having an open container of alcohol, and 25 drivers were cited for driving unlicensed vehicles or having a suspended or revoked license during the checkpoint, according to the Oceanside Police Department.

A total of 1,347 vehicles passed through the checkpoint, and 461 of the vehicles were contacted, police said. The checkpoint was held from 6 p.m. to midnight last Friday in the 3500 block of Oceanside Boulevard.
