3.7-Magnitude Earthquake Rattles Oceanside Coast
The quake hit at 1:05 a.m. with its epicenter 45 kilometers east northeast of the southeast tip of San Clemente Island, the USGS said.
OCEANSIDE, CA — An earthquake with a magnitude reading of 3.6 was felt from Long Beach to Tijuana and as far inland as Poway overnight Tuesday.
The quake hit at around 1:05 a.m. local time with its epicenter 45 kilometers east northeast of the southeast tip of San Clemente Island, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS reported that the quake occurred about 10.5 miles below the ocean's surface.
