4 Killed In 3-Vehicle Crash On SR-76 In North County
It is not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, according to the CHP.

FALLBROOK, CA — Four people were killed in a three-vehicle collision on state Route 76 in northern San Diego County, authorities said Saturday.
The crash happened shortly before 11:20 p.m. Friday on SR-76, east of Horse Ranch Creek Road, in the Fallbrook area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The unidentified driver of an eastbound Chrysler 300 veered into oncoming traffic and collided with the front of a Jeep Gladiator, which was being driven westbound by a 58-year-old man, according to the CHP. A westbound Toyota Camry, which was behind the Jeep, was involved in a minor side-swipe with the Jeep after the initial impact.

The drivers of the Chrysler and Jeep died at the scene, along with two adult passengers of the Jeep, the CHP said. A third adult passenger of the Jeep suffered major injuries.
It was not yet known if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash, according to the CHP. The identities of the victims were not released.
