Active-Duty Marine Dies in Oceanside Motorcycle Crash
The 24-year-old lost control of his motorcycle and struck a curb on northbound N. Coast Highway near Camp Pendleton, police said. Breaking.

OCEANSIDE, CA — A 24-year-old active duty Marine was killed early Friday in a motorcycle crash in Oceanside, just south of Camp Pendleton.
The rider, whose name was not immediately available, lost control of his 2013 Triumph motorcycle and struck a curb on northbound North Coast Highway near Monterey Drive shortly before 2 a.m., Oceanside police Sgt. Rick Davis said. He was ejected from the motorcycle and died at the scene from blunt force head trauma.
Davis said it was unclear whether alcohol was a factor in the crash, although speed may have been.
