Brush Fire Prompts Shelter-In-Place Order In North County

Gum Tree Lane and Live Oak Park Road were closed for one mile in each direction from the intersection, according to officials.

FALLBROOK, CA — A brush fire closed roads and prompted a shelter-in-place order Tuesday evening in northern San Diego County.

The blaze, called the Live Oak Fire, sparked in the 2500 block of Live Oak Park Road in Fallbrook, according to North County Fire Protection District. As of 4:54 p.m., the fire had burned two acres.

Fire officials said residents in Zones SDC-0100, SDC-0101 and SDC-0102 should shelter in place if they have not already evacuated.

By 4:57 p.m., crews halted the spread of the flames.

Gum Tree Lane and Live Oak Park Road were closed for one mile in each direction from the intersection, according to officials.
